Although in constant pain in my arms from a nerve condition called RSD which steadily worsens as time goes by I continue to fight and work as I am able. Perhaps production will increase in the future but for now the limited works I do complete are all the more special to me and the result of burning desire and passion to make marks on surfaces when pain will allow.

These galleries represent works from the 1970's to the present. They are the story of my life for that time.

OLIVIA HANKS GALLERY

Olivia is my granddaughter and fellow artist. She is a painter who is very much at home in the studio. Although serious about her artwork she is not yet old enough to qualify for her own site. It is my honor to share this space with her.

B C PAINTINGS AND PRINTS

The B C stands for business cards where upon the back of some of mine I do small artworks when pain won't allow more. I give them away at random.

PEACE

The desire for peace has been a constant in my lifetime. I've addressed the value of peace and the difficult pursuit of it in many ways. I've found paintings graphics and writing to be the most powerful means to spread the message and the symbol of peace

NATURE

The landscape has been the most often used motif for my collage work since 1979. No matter how abstract you will find the landscape influence in each.

PURELY ABSTRACT

The first art we all do is abstract. When children start responding to the natural urge to create images of their own making they create abstraction in its most pure and beautiful form.
