Countless bits and pieces of cut paper Collage on triple primed Masonite Board. Inspired by my wife, Sharon, dancing to the jazz playing in my studio as I painted late one evening. At that moment I started an oil sketch on canvas that also became a work inspired by that evening called DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT. Sharon teaches creative writing and English for high school and keeps a small work desk in the studio. Those hours when we are both deep into our craft together are most precious to me. This collage has multiple layers of geometric shapes and vibrant colors which form soft, sensual textures. Bright colors and a high-gloss sheen make this a beautiful work to me.
